Because SOCIETY has a responsibility to educate kids to a basic level and we deem that high school. Tho kids can drop out of high school if they want so oooh kids have to go to school til they’re like 15 and if they want to work they can work after that.

Every time someone points out that the rich need to pay a little more, they should “CLASS WARFARE!” But these fuckers have been waging class warfare on American working people for decaders.

@acekicksaxe Before child labor laws, kids were working in such situations, in coal mines and all that shit. Child labor laws are not there to prevent children working ALTOGETHER (family sitcoms would be impossible if that was the case) they are there to prevent children from working so much that it prevents them from having a decent future.

No law prevents anything! Laws are not even written to prevent anything, they are written to punish or reward things. Child labor laws do not say you can’t employ children, they say you cant employ children without govt permission or you will face severe penalty.
